Our barrel reconditioning process includes the following critical steps:

• Internal shaving to remove used wood layers,

• Dechar to strip away residual char and expose fresh wood,

• Rechar to apply a new char layer tailored to spirit interaction,

• Custom re-toasting to develop desired aromatic profiles,

• Controlled reheating to restore structural integrity,

• Leak testing and final integrity check,

• Client-specific adjustments based on spirit type, maturation goals, or technical constraints.

These rejuvenated barrels become powerful tools for secondary maturation, highly valued for enhancing the aromatic profile of whiskies, rums, and other aged spirits.
