OAKING is proud to take part in the American Distilling Institute 2025 Conferences & Expo – a key gathering for the craft distilling community across the U.S. and beyond – held from March 24 to 26 in San Antonio, Texas.

Martin Purvis, a renowned expert in barrel maturation and cask strategy, and a valued partner of OAKING, will give a presentation developed in collaboration with OAKING’s R&D department.
His presentation will explain how barrel aging is far more than a passive interaction between wood and alcohol – it is a dynamic process shaped by two essential parameters:
Aging environment (warehouse design, temperature, humidity, airflow, altitude)
Barrel toast and char profile
